Non-industrial Forest Landowner Forest Management Plan Application – OPEN


The Humboldt County Resource Conservation District (HCRCD) is inviting non-industrial forest landowners to apply to receive technical assistance in creating a long-term document to guide land management decisions, called Forest Management Plans. A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) of the landowner’s choice will write a FMP for private landowners at no cost to the landowner. The application packet linked serves as a guidance document that establishes the process, procedures, and general requirements for non-industrial landowners to apply for and receive Forest Management Plan development.

The first application round is closed and applicants will be notified of their application status by November 15, 2023. HCRCD is accepting applications for Round 2 ! Apply by December 18, 2023 for your application to be reviewed under Round 2. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, pending available funding, until March 29, 2024.
