Program Update and Application Deadline Extended: A Small Ag Business Drought and Flood Relief Grant Program


The Humboldt County Resource Conservation District (HCRCD) has partnered with Lendistry and the California Small Agricultural Business Drought & Flood Relief Grant Program to provide relief to small agricultural businesses that experienced a decline in annual gross receipts or gross profits due to drought or storm flood conditions. The deadline to apply has now been extended to February 15th!

12/21/2023: UPDATES to Small Ag Business Drought and Flood Relief Grant Program

  • Business License Documentation: 2019 Tax Returns with Schedule F is accepted in lieu of a business registration document.
  • Agricultural Income: Line 9 on all Schedule F tax returns will be used as Agricultural Gross Income *All submitted applications have been rereviewed according to the updated schedule F review.
  • Drought Group 1: Applicants for Drought Group 1 must meet the definition of a “Small Farm” but do not have to be a socially disadvantaged farmer. *Submitted applications affected by this update have been rereviewed and can check their status and/or email for updates
  • Flood Group 1: There is no longer a revenue cap for small agricultural businesses.

The California Small Agricultural Business Drought & Flood Relief Grant Program is administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA).
