Producers enrolling in NRCS cost-share programs may be required to complete soil sampling requirements for CEMA 216. The Humboldt County Resource Conservation District is offering two options for producers to complete CEMA 216- Soil Health Testing. Pricing varies based on testing package and time required to complete sampling. NRCS provides cost-share of at least $520 for this practice. Option 1: Producer-led under the guidance of a Qualified Individual, $755
Producer will take an online training to take soil samples and HCRCD will complete reporting and interpretation requirements.
Option 2: HCRCD-led, $1,000 – $2,000*
HCRCD completes all field work and reporting requirements. Producer required to participate in pre-work meeting with HCRCD (about an hour).
