HCRCD provides non-industrial forest landowners with technical assistance and resources for cost-share financial assistance programs for planning, reforestation, and resource management. For example, through HCRCD’s Forest Management Plan (FMP) program, Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) are hired to develop detailed FMPs for participating landowners that reflect each property’s unique history, resource concerns and objectives, and plans for future management. Additionally, these FMPs can increase a landowner’s eligibility for other state and federal cost share programs.
HCRCD’s current funding for this program is limited, but please contact foresthealth@hcrcd.org for questions about technical assistance or cost-share programs that may be a good fit for your and your forest.
