HCRCD is requesting proposals from qualified individual Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) or Forestry firms with qualified RPFs to plan for and assist with implementation of post fire disaster recovery treatments on private lands within the 2021 Knob Fire wildfire perimeter and the 2022 Six Rivers National Forest (SRNF) Lightning Complex Fire wildfire perimeter.
Funding is provided through an U.S. Forest Service Post Fire Disaster Recovery Grant. Under U.S. Forest Service’s legal authorities for cooperative forestry, recovery work may include hazard tree removal, removal of dead trees and fuels, preparation of sites for reforestation, invasive plant control, fuels treatments, reforestation, wood product utilization, and maintenance of reforested areas. It is HCRCD’s intent to select one or more qualified firm(s) or individual(s) based on an evaluation of the firm’s and/or individual’s past performance, project team resumes, appropriate references, experience, cost, as well as the criteria that will be used in evaluating the qualifications of firms and/or individuals submitting proposals. Deadline for submissions: January 10, 2024 at 4:00pm
